Austin has a lot of music festivals, but we all know which one is the best.

PachangaFest is now entering its 5th year, and it is bigger and badder than ever. The 2012 lineup is beyond incredible, and as has been the case for the past four years, PachangaFest has pledged a portion of the festival's proceeds to benefit FuturoFund.

Buy your tickets TODAY (early bird prices until April 15), see some incredible music (it's family-friendly!) and support FuturoFund's effort to make a positive impact in the Latino community.

FuturoFund is excited to present our next FuturoFocus session spotlighting health care and the medical school initiative.

Join Senator Kirk Watson and Jeff Garvey of the Austin Community Foundation as they discuss how current efforts to make Austin a prominent center for health care services and research will impact our Hispanic community. Following the FuturoFocus session, attendees will also have an opportunity to take a special behind the scenes tour of the Brackenridge Clinical Education Center. See all the things that Grey’s Anatomy and Scrubs leave out!

FuturoFund Austin is excited to announce the launch of the You + 1 Membership Campaign. When FuturoFund Austin grows, so does its impact in the Latino community. Help us grow in 2012 by sharing your commitment to impacting the Latino community with friends, colleagues and family members.

Only those who were members of FuturoFund in 2009, 2010 or 2011, and have also pledged to be 2012 FuturoFund members, are eligible to participate in the You + 1 Campaign. Each time you recruit a new member, your name will be entered into a drawing to win an iPod touch.

FuturoFund will publish the names of all who recruit new members on its website and in regular Member Updates and a special announcement will be made at FuturoFiesta, our annual celebration and member vote event in the fall. To be counted toward the You + 1 Campaign, current members must make sure their name is clearly printed on the new member’s submitted pledge form.

Last year, FuturoFund received numerous applications from incredible organizations making a difference in our community. We are committed to raising more funds in 2012 in order to provide even more funding for these outstanding organizations!

In preparation for the 2012 grants cycle, FuturoFund is hosting a Grant Applicant Feedback Session. The purpose of the session is to obtain feedback from grant applicants on how we can improve the application process, as well as to provide some advice on applying for FuturoFund Grants in 2012.
